Okay, you’ve got the basics down.

You’ve seen how important it is to break out of the curse of poverty and stop living paycheck to paycheck.

You know it’s God will for you to have abundance, and you know why.

You are starting to establish these truths in you by speaking them and declaring them over your situations.

But now let’s go to the next level. This is the advanced money class.

I want to teach you about God’s economy. This is the way God sees money and how He uses it.

It’s completely different than what has been ingrained in our heads since we were little.

Your parents probably didn’t teach you this stuff and for sure your teachers at school didn’t.

But I can guarantee you this, IF you get what I’m about to teach you, I mean TRULY get it. You will never worry about money again.

Money is seed. Your paycheck is seed:

I’ve got good news for you.

God’s economy doesn’t have recessions.

The real estate bubble doesn’t burst.

Inflation and interest rates, social security and Dow Jones don’t play a part.

Because God’s economy is NOTHING like the world’s economy.

And now that we are born again Christians, we are citizens of Heaven. That’s our true home and we get to operate in their economy. If we CHOOSE to.

And they WAY we choose to operate in God’s economy is by:

• What we believe
• The words we speak
• The action steps we take.

People who operate in God’s economy are not fearful of running out. They give generously, almost without care.

They have abundance even when it seems like the world is going broke.

They know they are blessed in order to be a blessing to others, and they live that way.

They don’t turn to the world’s way of acquiring things. Instead they go to the Creator of those things, God.

How God’s Economy Works:

Normal people (not us!) go to a bank when they are looking to purchase a new car.

People in God’s economy go to God first and seek His instruction on how to acquire this new car.

God may give them the instruction to sow a seed towards this car, He may have them bless someone else financially, He may give them certain words to pray or show them a certain person to talk to. He may even instruct them to hold on and wait just a little longer, but the point is, they go to God first.

Jesus simplifies this for us:

In Matthew 6:33 Jesus tells, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

In the previous scriptures, Jesus is telling us not to worry about the essentials of life, what we will eat, drink or wear. Those types of thoughts dominate the minds of unbelievers, but not us! Simply seek God FIRST and all those other things will be added to us.

Focus on Him, seek Him above other things, and then you’ll get those things that you desire.

Are you starting to get it? There are a different set of instructions in God’s economy that will allow you to acquire things and operate on a higher level. We just have to learn how to do them.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Instructs how to fill our barns (bank accounts) with plenty:

“Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce.
Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine.”

Most of us don’t use barns that much today, but we know that barns are used to hold things we will need or use in the future. Today we use bank accounts to hold the “seed” we need now, and what we need for the future. I also want to point out that he said barns and vats, plural, meaning He will fill multiple bank accounts.

God specifically pointed out to me one day, that overworking yourself, or going out and getting 3 jobs, being gone every night and weekend isn’t how you feel your bank account with plenty, HONORING God with your money, you income, and your increase is HOW you feel your bank accounts. Notice He said that HE will fill your barns and your vats. HE is the filler.

That him me like a ton of bricks. That’s God’s economy. Honor God, get hooked up.

Now I’m not saying to quit your job and be a bum, not at all. What I am saying is that your job is not your supplier, your earthly employer is not your “filler.” God is. When it comes to your job, seek God and ask Him where He wants you to be.

If he tells you to flip burgers at McDonald’s do it. God can still make you wealthy. How? When you honor God with your wealth, HE fills your bank accounts. It doesn’t matter where you work or how much your wage is. HE fills your account, not McDonalds.

We Increase By Giving

We touched on this before, but tithing, and giving above and beyond, is your main way of gain and growth in God’s economy.

Remember when tithe (Giving the gross 10% of your income back to God) He opens the windows of Heaven for you and pours out a blessing so great you won’t have room to contain it all!

One translation puts it like this: “Bring your full tithe to the Temple treasury so there will be ample provisions in my Temple. Test me in this and see if I don’t open up heaven itself to you and pour out blessings beyond your wildest dreams!”

I’ll tell you what, you’d be a fool NOT to tithe. I’ll trade 10% of my income in exchange for blessings beyond my wildest dreams anyday! Shoot, I’ll trade all my income for that!

Here is more instruction on how to receive in God’s economy, you give to others and you’ll get back more:

Luke 6:38 “Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.”

Give, and you WILL receive. This stuff is so easy, it’s so much better than the world’s economy.

When you operate in the world, your income is based of trading time for wages, trading labor and toiling just to get by. Then the next week you have to do it all over again. It can be painstaking and soul-sucking. That’s why you need to inquire of the Lord where He wants you stationed.

Let me show you another scripture that changed my life forever, and it will yours too.

Proverbs 10:22 “The blessing of the Lord makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.”

The word “sorrow” there is actually translated “toil.” Toiling is exhaustive physical labor, it’s working your fingers to the bone, working and laboring incessantly, to work very hard for a long time.

So again, what makes a person rich? The blessing of the Lord.  NOT toiling. Toiling will wear you out, not make you rich.

We have the blessing of the Lord because we have given our lives to Jesus, He lives in us now. We HAVE the blessing of the Lord that makes a person rich.

That’s what is so great about God’s economy. He loves us so much that just by living for Him, we  get to be blessed.

Since I began TRULY living for God when I was about 19, God has made this overly apparent in my life, we get blessed because we are His children. We are adopted into His family now so we get the perks that come along with our Dad being the Creator. That’s nepotism at it’s finest.

Grace Based Prosperity

I have an online business that sells products to Animal Control companies (yes, a seemingly random business to be in, but God hooked it up!) And I normally make a few sales each week.

Well I had just gone 3 weeks without a sale, and I thought maybe something with my website was down, or wasn’t working, so I checked it all out and everything was working like it should.

This little break in sales came at a bad time since I had just willingly gone part-time at my day job so I could spend more time with my wife and newly born daughter. I had prayed a lot about this decision and knew that God had given me the greenlight to go part-time and the income from my online business helped supplement what I was losing from the day job.

I remember I wasn’t feeling well and was laying on my couch, when I heard the alert on my phone go off that I had made a sale. I thought, yes! Thank You God!

But then, 14 minutes later I heard the sound again. Then at about 1 pm I got an order for two. That’s 4 sales in just a few hours. The next day I got another one.

That was a $2,200 profit made in just a few hours.

When my child was born, while I was at the hospital I made another $2,500 and again while on a vacation at the beach I once made $7,000 profit.

What was all that about? The blessing of the Lord making me rich. Simply “Grace-Based Prosperity.”

I didn’t have to toil to get those sales. I didn’t have to work and labor incessantly for long periods of time. No, I just walked in the blessing that God has given me.

I didn’t worry, I didn’t get anxious or fearful when the sales weren’t coming in. I just trusted in God and stayed in a place of peace and expectancy. I knew God would provide. I didn’t know when, but I knew He would!

That’s the greatness of God, He loves us so much that He has given us this opportunity to operate like He does, to operate in His economy.

These strategies and instructions will work no matter what is going on in the world. There are no recessions, no downturns, no stock market crashes, no job decreases…It’s one of the greatest benefits of being in God’s family. Your wealth, success and prosperity is in NO WAY tied to what’s happening in the world’s economy! So do yourself and your future family a favor by walking in this blessing of God’s economy.

The simple steps to operating in God’s economy:

1. Seek God FIRST in all you do. Go to Him, not your parents, not your grandparents, not your boss, not the bank. Seek Him first. Inquire of Him what to do. (Luke 6:33)

2. Be a generous giver. Be a tither, and then be a giver as well. Money will come to you in abundance.

3. Don’t worry or be anxious when it comes to money. God is your Shepherd, your Provider, and bank account Filler, honor Him with your money, and trust in His Blessing. It will make you rich.
