Get Your Mind on Increase

It ALL depends on HOW you think.

Your success, your happiness, your peace, is all determined by your mindset.

Whatever you do, don’t tune me out here.  Even if you’ve heard this stuff before, please listen to what I have to say about mindset. It’s the foundation to increase, without the right mindset you cannot grow.

In order to live a life of increase, you HAVE to be increase-minded. You have to know that God wants you blessed and living a life of more than enough.

Just barely scraping by does not bring honor to God, and besides that, it’s not attractive to non-believers. I know there has been times where money is tight, that’s not what I’m talking about here. I’m talking about the mindset that portrays God wanting us poor, busted and broke for His glory. That’s not the God I serve and it’s not the God in the Bible.

Let’s take a quick look at just a few of the scriptures on increase: (I often use the NLT and AMP translations, they give a deeper understanding to the scriptures – emphasis is mine throughout this course)

Psalm 115:14 Amplified Bible (AMP)
May the Lord give you increase more and more, you and your children.

John 10:10 Amplified Bible (AMP)
(Jesus talking) – The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it [a]overflows).

2 Corinthians 9:8 (AMP)
8 And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance to give to every good work and charitable donation].

Those scriptures make it abundantly clear that God wants us to increase, he wants to have an abundant life that we enjoy, AND He wants us to be blessed and furnished in abundance so that we can give to every good work and charitable donation. In order to do that we have to more than enough in the area of finances!

James 1:27  says, “Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.”
Guess what, to care for orphans and widows, you need money. Let’s be real.

Proverbs 23:7 tells us “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.”

Henry Ford, a man who overcame seemingly insurmountable obstacles to achieve amazing wealth is famous for quoting a powerful statement:

“Whether a man thinks he can, or he can’t…he is right.”

 

The way you think, ultimately determines what you’ll become. If you think you’re successful you will be successful, if you think you’re a winner you’ll be a winner.

Of course this works in the negative as well. By the time this course is over, you will not be speaking, thinking, or believing negatively about yourself. It’s your time to turn your life around. Time to level up!

Mark 11:23 tells us, ” Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him.”

2 Corinthians 4:13 says, “…I believe, therefore I speak.”

What you believe is what you will speak, and you what speak determines what you will have.

I’ll repeat that throughout the course. It’s the most powerful TRUTH in the world.

If you walk around focused on the negatives in life, dwelling on negative thoughts and speaking negative confessions over your life, then of course, negative things will happen to you, causing decrease in your life.

We all want increase, nobody likes lack, nobody likes being in poverty. It hurts when we can’t pay your bills or buy your Mom a Christmas present. (trust me, I’ve been there)

But in order to truly receive the increase God has for us we MUST know that we know, that we know, that God wants us to have abundance. That He wants us to have more than enough. It is not God’s will for you to scrape by and live paycheck to paycheck. If you think otherwise, THEN YOU DON’T KNOW GOD!

How can you bless and help others, if you only have enough to take care of yourself?

Get your mind on increase. Focus on growth, declare it, speak it out loud. Don’t focus on the negatives, focus on how big God is and how much He loves you.

Action Step

Pull out your smart phone and program a daily reminder that will remind you every single day to speak increase over your life. You can set one for the morning and afternoon. Mine personal one says, “God I thank you for increase, blessing, favor, promotion and opportunity in my life today!”

Do something simple like that, speak it out loud every time that reminder pops up. It will get your mind on increase and you will benefit for it!
